Yes, the low lead legislation was signed in January by President Obama. This means that it will be mandatory that the manufacturers change their products to abide by this federal low lead legislation. This latest law lowers the national standard for lead in faucets, pipes and pipe fittings from 0.8% TO 0.25%. The deadline to make these changes is January 4th, 2014.
